Embracing Life

I was trying to create a retirement card for a family friend, and thought that it is a great time to embrace life because you no longer have the huge commitment of work every day. Next time I may chose to use some brighter colors, but most of this card stock was already cut so I only had to trim up bits to put it together. The flower is done using a technique known as dry embossing. Then I could not think of where to place the saying, making it ordinary seemed boring so I thought why not on it's side...a little different but not out there!

It seems I am on a roll now......maybe I'll get to making a 'project' for my next post, instead of the cards all the time. But we are away to Seattle tomorrow so you'll have to wait till next week....
