I count my blessings every day that I live near my parents. We are actually closer than most may like in that we live in the same housing complex. It gives my son such a thrill to walk over all by himself. And I remember how lucky we are every time I hear friends struggle with having no support system from any family nearby. This is from Riley's most recent birthday. My husband was in hospital and so my mum had picked up cupcakes to make a wish with on Riley's actual birthday. He loved having such a sweet treat after dinner!!
