Is Spring ever going to arrive?

As I came down my stairs to write this, snow started falling outside. It is crazy!! It is really wet snow, and is not yet sticking but Mother Nature is surely confused this year. I have spent the last week admiring all the crocus blooms and my son has even spotted all the 'daisy' flowers and buds coming up through the grass. I am also preparing my cards for the Spring SAS on Friday evening. This is one I just did yesterday. There a few similar ideas using the scallop circle punch flower on Splitcoast' site. I doubled up my Riding Hood Red DSP, then cut into the centre of the punch at every second scallop. It is a really neat effect and makes the flowers seem to be popping in the garden. I sponged ink along the bottom to make grass, then used my markers to freehand the stems. Maybe if I set out to make a few more floral cards it will help convince Miss Mother Nature she has little time to rid us of this white fluff that keeps coming :o)
