Soft Subtle overload

It is funny how you get used to using a certain color family, or scheme. If you follow my blog you will notice that most of my cards are blues and greens. Then an opportunity arises for me to use colors outside 'my box'. One of our casual teachers gave birth to a girl (weighing over 10lbs!) who has been given the name Charlotte-which I love. When occasions happen at work I am the 'go to' card girl. And, of course, I love this because it actually gives me a chance to create for someone else. Then looking at my stash of stamps-no baby themed set. Looking through my hoards of stuff, I found the little colored safety pins I purchased in a clearance aisle at a scrapbook store quite some time ago. Knowing they would come in handy one day I copied this little felt diaper from a baby shower idea from years ago. Still stamp searching, I then found a set from the recent Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Once looking at my options, I decided making the most simple card would allow the little diaper to be the focus. All the colors are from the Soft Subtle family-they are perfect shades for babies. Welcome, little Charlotte!

Love the stitching. I wish I could make holes that straight

Too cute! I love the idea of the diaper, I'll have to keep it in mind next time I need a baby card.
